I’m an aspiring marketing professional with a passion for digital storytelling, audience engagement, and mission-driven communication. I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Journalism with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations at the Hussman School, along with minors in History and Writing, Editing, and Digital Publishing. Through my coursework and hands-on projects, I’ve built a strong foundation in writing, editing, digital publishing, and content strategy—and developed a genuine love for connecting clear communication with creative problem-solving.
In my professional experience, I’ve had the opportunity to work across marketing, newsroom leadership, and digital media management. As the Digital Managing Editor of The Daily Tar Heel, I oversee our digital content strategy, lead the rollout and optimization of our newly redesigned website, and use analytics to inform audience growth and content promotion. Before stepping into this role, I served as Deputy Copy Chief, where I trained copy editors in AP style and fact-checking, improved nightly editing workflows, and strengthened our SEO-focused headline strategy. I’ve also worked as a marketing intern for a national consulting firm, creating digital content, pitch decks, and promotional materials to support brand visibility and new business development.
Looking ahead, I hope to build a career at the intersection of marketing, content strategy, and digital media. I’m excited by roles that challenge me to think creatively, collaborate across teams, and craft work that makes a meaningful impact. No matter where I go next, I’m driven by curiosity, integrity, and a commitment to producing thoughtful, engaging content that truly connects with its audience.
